Edenvale Mourvèdre 2013

This unique varietal is lighter in body than many of our big reds – more like a Pinot Noir. Like Pinot, its very complex in flavors and rewards the drinker with a full complement of experiences. The nose brings aromatics of ripe blueberry with a bit of graphite. The wine expresses dried blackberry and ripe cherry with hints of baking spices such as cinnamon, clove and nutmeg with the light caramel note of honey. The tannins are grippy and ensure a long life in the bottle. The finish blooms with fruit cobbler and round softness.
